How to maintain your spray booth

SPRAY BOOTH MAINTANENCE

Sponge clean walls once a day.
Check fans and motors monthly.
Wash floors daily.
Run booth 30 minutes after filter change.

SUPPLY AIR -INTAKE FILTERS(PRODUCT)

Replace the cross filter every 30 to 40 paint jobs.

Install the Series 55 filter with the green bonded side facing towards the object being sprayed in the cross-ventilated compartment.

Change pre-filters quarterly.

Replace the ceiling filter every 800 to 1200 hours of use.

Filter changeout times vary with shop conditions, paint being applied, type of spray booth and condition of pre-filters.Do not clean filters with high pressure air.

EXITING AIR -PAINT ARRESTORS(product)

Arrestors is too thin and paint gets into the exhaust pipe.

Arrestors too dense will cause fogging.

Paint arrestors are oversized to provide a tight and efficient seal--use grids to support media.

Change arrestors every 15 to 25 paint jobs.

Filter change out times vary with object being painted, velocity, distance from gun to arrestor bank and type of spray booth.

Recommendations are based upon the premise that the customer is looking for the best performer with optimal life span while installed. The application method will affect the size and consistency of the particles, so the assumption will be based on the average application method.

Test efficiencies on all three products vary only slight, so optimal properties will be based upon minimal (as possible) run-off and holding capacity with consideration to possible premature loading and failure.

FAQs

How Do I Measure My Air Filter?

Depending on the amount of traffic your home or business receives can help determine how often your air/furnace filters need to be replaced. Regular filter changes can help reduce pollutants in the air and lower energy bills (as estimated by a 1-inch standard pleated filter).

  • Lower traffic homes/apartments (single occupant/no pets): every 3-4 months
  • Moderate traffic homes (no pets): every 90 days
  • Moderate traffic homes with pets: every 60 days
  • Densely populated households with more than 2 pets/occupants with allergies: once every 30 days
What Is A MERV Rating?

MERV represents the minimum efficiency reported value. Air filters are measured by a MERV rating, and the higher the rating, the more pollutants the filter is able to capture.

How Do I Measure My Air Filter?

If you don't already have a filter in your air return or don't have a size print in your current filter, no problem! You can measure it yourself. Just take a tape measure and measure height X width X depth.

Such as

Actual size: 19.5 "X 23.5" X 3/4 "→ Nominal size: 20 X 24 X 1

What Is An Antimicrobial Filter?

Antibacterial filters use special antibacterial filter media that inhibits the growth of mold, mildew and other air pollutants, greatly reducing the amount of allergens in the air.

How Do Electrostatic Filters Work?

As air passes through the electrostatic fibers, friction creates static charges that attract and retain dust, pollen, dust mites, and dander until it is rinsed.

How Often Does An Electrostatic Need To Be Cleaned?

We recommend cleaning the electrostatic filter every 30 days, even if it doesn't look dirty. Installing a clean electrostatic filter in your air conditioner will keep the filter in top condition at all times so that it captures as many air pollutants as possible.

How To Clean An Electrostatic Filter?

We recommend vacuuming up excess dirt, then running the filter under hot water, and then allowing the filter to dry completely before reuse. If desired, use a mild detergent. However, don’t use oils, adhesives, household cleaners, industrial cleaners, or alkali solutions, as this can damage the filter.

What Modifications Are Needed To Install An Electrostatic Filter?

NONE! Lifetime electrostatic filters easily replace your current disposable or pleated filters with no tools or modifications required.

Does The Electrostatic Filter Benefit The Environment?

Yes, because the filter is reusable, you don't create any waste by throwing away a dirty filter every time you change it.

What Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value Or MERV Rating Is Right For My Home?

Most air filters have a MERV rating from 1-16. The higher the MERV rating, the better the filter is at capturing pollutants and contaminants in the air.

What’s The Difference Between An AC Filter And A Furnace Filter?

Knowing what type of filter you need in your home can be confusing. But guess what? Ac filters are the same as furnace filters - they just have two different names! In most homes, the heating and cooling systems share the same air processor, which means they also share the same filter.

How Do You Know Your Filter Is Dirty?

You'll see more and more dust in your home.

You suddenly find that your energy bill has skyrocketed.

Your air filter is covered with dust, dirt, and other contaminants.

Your air conditioner/stove takes longer to heat or cool your home.

What Is My Air Filter Catching?

Dust
Dirt
Fibers
Pet Dander
Pollen
Mold Spores
Indoor Smoke
And more!

Where Should The Arrows Point When Replacing Your Air Filter?

Find the arrow on the side of the filter frame. Arrows should always point in the direction of the air flow or toward the furnace, away from the return air outlet. If you need help, please contact us.

Why Should I Change My Air Filters?

Air filters should be replaced regularly to help maintain healthy indoor air quality and ensure that your HVAC system continues to operate properly. When your air filter is not changed regularly, it can become dirty and clogged, thus limiting airflow. When airflow is restricted, your HVAC must be kept on longer and overworked to cool or heat your home or office, which can lead to expensive maintenance repairs.
